The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education has revised the syllabus for Class 9th students. This has been done in light of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF-2005) and National Education Policy 2020.
Students studying in Class 9 of JK Board have to study 5 subjects as a compulsory subjects as mentioned below:
Compulsory Subjects
• General English
• Urdu or Hindi
• Mathematics
• Social Science
• Science
Also, they can opt for one additional language as a subject.
Additional Language/Subjects:
• Kashmiri
• Arabic
• Persian
• Dogri
• Sanskrit
• Bhoti
• Punjabi
• Computer Education
